Delineating the Lot of Fortune in Natal Charts
Hellenistic astrologers regularly used lots in their delineations of natal charts--the two most important being the Lot of Fortune and the Lot of Daemon. Vettius Valens from the 2nd century referred to the former as "archetypal" and the latter as simply "the second lot."
