Awakening Unique Stories

Happy New Year!

“A community best serves itself when it truly serves the awakening of the unique story trying to come to life through each person born.”

I love this quote from Michael Meade. These words are a perfect embodiment of the Jupiter/Saturn conjunction we have in Aquarius right now.

Jupiter is our storyteller and represents the capacity to place the events in our lives—both big and small—within a narrative arc of our purpose here on Earth, in this life.

Saturn represents boundaries and authority. Authority contains the word ‘author’ in it, so Saturn invites us to understand how we can write our own story when we don’t give our authority away.

And finally, Aquarius is the sign most closely associated (paradoxically) with individualism and community. Aquarius asks us to envision a world where we can balance our individuality with our very human need for community.

And so it is with this beautiful quote: by supporting the birth and development of that which is unique in those around us, both the individual and the collective are nourished. True community is the art form of diversity.

How can we remind ourselves of the unique stories all around us? And where might we provide a spark from our own stories in awakening that of another?
