Find your frequency, find your flow.
How can you bring more flow into your life?
How can you bring more flow into your life?
“When people feel flow, they are often in a state of concentration. Their thoughts are focused on an experience rather than on themselves. They lose a sense of time and feel as if there is a merging of their actions and their awareness.” Richard Huskey
Flow can be defined as moving steadily and continuously in a particular direction. In psychology, flow describes a merging of consciousness and action, where one is content in the here and now.
Increasing flow can improve your mood, boost your resilience, power creativity and productivity, and most importantly, grow one’s sense of happiness and fulfilment.
There are many ways to encourage flow states in one’s life including practices around mindfulness and gratitude, championing one’s boundaries, minimising distractions and stretching outside one’s comfort zone.
To that list, I would like to add understanding the self—becoming the person one is meant to be. One path to this deeper understanding of self is through inner work.
Astrology, Reiki, and coaching have proven invaluable to me in doing such work and all three modalities have guided me in different parts of my life.
Astrology can shed light on the stories and overarching themes that weave through an individual’s life.
Reiki is helpful in connecting our mental and emotional awarenesses to the body and the spirit.
And coaching is truly an alchemical process that can touch all 4 levels of existence that are key to healing—becoming whole: mental, emotional, physical, and energetic.
There are many modalities out there which might help you fine-tune your sense of self, like way back (before the days of digital radio and tv!) when you would fiddle with the dial until you hit just the right frequency for the clearest reception.
Astrology, Reiki, and coaching are (in my opinion) three very powerful ways to hone in on your frequency so that you can experience flow.
